Here are some ideas we have for January's craft day. Put your feedback in Comments so that we can either use your idea in January or save it for another craft day.
Magnetic Chore Chart
Estimated completion time: At least one hourCost: $8
You provide: One piece of 12x12 scrapbook paper in a cute print, one piece of 8.5x11 scrapbook paper (or cut down to that size) in a light color so printing will show up clearly on it, one piece of 8.5x11 scrapbook paper (or cut down to size) in a coordinating color or light print for the magnets. I will send you documents to print off on your computer before coming to the craft day.
A great way to get kids going on chores, even if they can't read! This could also be used as a base for any other magnetic chart if you don't need chore charts--like for menu planning or calendaring, etc.
Yarn Wrapped Wreath with Felt Roses
Estimated completion time: About 2 hoursCost: $5
You provide: A skein of yarn in a color of your choice (although neutrals like white, off-white, brown, gray, and green would work best); embellishments to put on your wreath (we will provide different colors of felt and instruction for making felt roses, but if you want something different than that, bring it yourself)
This craft is great because you can use the same wreath and change out the embellishments according to the season/holiday. I sewed alligator hair clips on the back of my rosettes so I can change them out. Search the web and you will see how you can use your one wreath for the whole year! We will make more of these embellishments in other activities through the year if people want.
The first picture is my very simple "winter wreath." Below are other images for upcoming holidays that I snagged off of Google images. You see how you can do anything? Here is a link for a tutorial on how to do this:

Baker's Twine Eggs
Estimated completion time: Probably 10 minutes per egg? I won't know until I do it myself.
Cost: Not sure yet, but not more than $10 and hopefully closer to $5 or less for a dozen.
Easter Egg Advent Activity
Estimated completion time: Less than 1/2 hourCost: Less than $5, perhaps significantly less-- free if you can scrape together some old plastic eggs and the things on the list at home.
I think this would be wonderful for children, especially the really little ones. You can get more information here:

Or,
"The Living Christ" Easter Advent Activity
Estimated completion time: Don't know at this point, but not significantCost: Probably just the cost of printing, so pretty low depending on how we print it
The Living Christ 30-day Countdown - This blog has detailed instructions and a PDF of the activity, so you can do it at home without putting it together on craft day.
Egg Dying Class
For our free class, we thought we could show how to go beyond the standard egg dying and do some really cool stuff. Let us know if you know how to dye eggs in a cool way and maybe you can share your talent.

All of that looks fantastic, Sarah! I'd be up for doing the wreath or wrapped eggs. Thanks for putting all this together.
